The 31 year-old attacking midfielder’s contract with Dubai-based Emirates Club expires at the end of this season.
And with just two games remaining, Holman is eagerly eyeing where his football journey will take him next.
“I am excited, in strange way, of not actually knowing where I will end up next year," said Holman, who is about to complete his third season in the Gulf after a previous spell with Al Nasr was preceded by a short-lived stint at Aston Villa and a decorated decade in the Eredivisie.

"Things could happen fast, but I will just have to wait and see. I just want to finish well it the club and see what happens, and get ready for a good year next year, wherever that may be. It’s going to be interesting.
“My fitness feels great, even playing in the heat here I am running the games out well and the body is holding up alright. There are no concerns there at all.
“Touch wood, the speed is there still and I am still going strong.”
With the likes of Adam Taggart, Rhys Williams and now Chris Herd all returning to the A-League of late, the local landscape is foremost in Holman’s thinking with interest likely to come from home town teams Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.
“Of course, if something comes up in Australia that ticks the boxes then we will go for it," he said.
"Australia is definitely on the cards and there will always be that Middle East story also.”
With five goals in 19 games this season, Holman has played his part for his club, striking twice in his last three games.
“I feel I’ve been in good touch of late and it never hurts to sore a few goals,” Holman said.
“The season is almost done and dusted and it will soon to time to work out what the plans are for next season.
“There’s always a bit of interest from certain areas, and there has been some from Qatar also in the past few weeks."
A return to the Netherlands is also not out of the question for Holman and his Dutch wife.
He excelled during spells with Excelsior, NEC Nijmegen and AZ Alkmaar, where he won a league crown in 2009, and said: “I think I have a good name there and it is also a possibility.”
Asked if he could even remain at the Emirates club, Holman replied: “It would be wrong to say that door has closed.”
