The word from Denmark on Newcastle Jets' new signing

32-year-old Nordstrand – who made his full international debut for Denmark against the Socceroos in London in 2007 – comes to the A-League with a decent reputation.

He's a three time Danish Superliga champion with FC Copenhagen and was the top goalscorer in 2006 and 2009.

Andreas Kraul is one of Denmark's top Football journalists and commentators and he shared his thoughts with The World Game.

"He's one of the most likeable players in Denmark. Very nice and polite guy, a little shy."

"He was one of the most lethal ‘Fox in a box’ in Denmark for many years, but he has lost a lot of speed, and was only a sub at (former club) Aarhus GF, but a professional and with a very good feeling for the ball and the game.

"I think he will be able to score quite a few goals in Australia! And he is famous for two of the best bicycle goals in Denmark."
