With the game carefully poised, second-half substitute Henrique calmly chipped oncoming Perth goalkeeper Ante Covic, in the 74th minute, to send Brisbane supporters into raptures.
The man known as 'the Slippery Fish' was the recipient of a sublime pass from Spanish signing Hervas, who incredibly produced an assist with his first A-League touch, after Covic's ineffective clearance.
Brisbane had earlier dominated the first-half and enjoyed 64% of possession, without really bombarding Perth goalkeeper Covic's goal.
The home side's best chance came via Dimitri Petratos' long-range strike in the 26th minute, which struck the post.
Against the run of play, Perth then almost pulled out a sucker punch right on the stroke of half-time through Marc Warren, but his first touch let him down at the crucial moment.
Just 10 minutes into the second stanza and Glory captain Richard Garcia almost benefitted from an errant Petratos header that gave his goalkeeper Jamie Young a few anxious moments.
Covic was then put to the test in the 68th minute as he raced out of the box to diffuse a Roar attacking raid.
While the 40 year-old's first touch was suspect, he did enough to put off a fast approaching Henrique.
Perth responded just two minutes later and forced Young into a top-draw save to keep out Michael Thwaite's long-range strike.
But something had to give, and it was Henrique who this time made no mistake as he cleared the oncoming Covic, and moved Roar to the top of the A-League table after six rounds.
