SBS will broadcast the Socceroos' 2018 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers on SBS in HD and online - and SBS Radio - and it continues in November against Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh.

SBS's TV coverage of AUSTRALIA v Kyrgyzstan on Thursday 12 November will hosted by David Zdrilic with SBS Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster and ex-Socceroos duo Craig Moore and Jason Culina - with Lucy Zelic pitchside in the nation's capital.

The SOCCEROOS then face Bangladesh in Dhaka on Tuesday 17 November with host David Zdrilic, SBS Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster and ex-Socceroos midfielder Jason Culina backing up to bring you all the action.

SBS Radio will broadcast the matches live on digital SBS Radio 3, online at and via the SBS Radio app.

A replay of Australia v Kyrgyzstan will air on SBS on Friday 13 November from 11am with a replay of Bangladesh v Australia on SBS on Wednesday 18 November from 11am.


Australia, the reigning current Asian champion, got their journey to Russia 2018 off to a winning start against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek.

Next up a home clash in Perth against Bangladesh resulted in a thumping 5-0 win before a comfortable 3-0 win over Tajikistan rounded off the September double act.

Australia suffered a 2-0 defeat to Jordan on their travels to be second in the qualifying group.

"Australians love watching the Socceroos play. Last year millions of fans tuned in early to see them play in the FIFA World Cup on SBS," Ken Shipp, SBS’s Director of Sport said.

"These matches are the first steps in their path to qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and I am pleased that once again SBS will make them available on Free-to-Air TV, radio and online."
