Corona, full name Miguel Angel Garcia Perez-Roldan, made 312 appearances for Almeria in Spain's La Liga and Segunda Division in a nine season spell.

He was unveiled by the three-time A-League champion and will wear the No.7 jersey.
Six of Corona's seasons at Almeria were in Spain's top flight and in January 2011, he scored in a 3-2 win at Deportivo La Coruna which saw Almeria reach the semi finals of the Copa del Rey with a 4-2 aggregate win.

The 34-year-old also scored a counter-attack goal against Barcelona in April 2012, as then-bottom Almeria visited the Nou Camp.

"The attacking, possession-based style of the Roar suits my game," Corona said.

"This style and the positive approach to football by John Aloisi is what drew me to the club.

"Now I can't wait to get onto the field and show what I can do."

Corona also spent time at Albacete and Poli Ejido in Spain's second tier on loan from Zaragoza, where he spent five seasons between 2000 and 2006.
"The way Miguel plays on the ball, he's technically very good and he will be able to start the plays for us," Roar coach John Aloisi said.

"He's got all the qualities that we are looking for in that position to play the style of football we want to play."

Corona started his career with Real Madrid's C and B teams, without making the first team.

The midfielder will replace Brattan, who was released from his contract by Roar in order to pursue overseas options.

Brattan has been linked with Premier League giant Manchester City, who will loan him out if the signing becomes a reality, although it is understood the loan will not be to Melbourne City in the A-League, but rather to a European side.
