Maclaren opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 11 minutes before netting a further three times before half-time and four more after the interval.
His Australia U-23 team-mate Brandon Borrello scored on 72 minutes with teenage winger Abraham Yango the only other player to get on the scoresheet.
On Monday, Maclaren, Borrello and James Donachie leave with the OIyroos for games against Turkey and FYR Macedonia next week.
“I am going away with the Olyroos now and it’s good to go away with confidence and having scored my first goals for the club,” Maclaren, 22, said.
The victory was coach John Aloisi’s first in four games since taking the reins at Roar in June, although he quickly put the result into perspective.
“Full credit to the Gold Coast All-Stars, they made it into a good game by trying to press us, trying to do the right things,” Aloisi said.
“I was pleased with our attitude and pleased with the things I saw.
“It is always nice to score goals and give the boys a bit of confidence because within our structures, that is where we were getting the goals, so it was pretty good.”
