This is part two of The World Game's trip down memory lane, as we look at the pivotal moments in seasons 6 to 10 of our national competition.
There are some big, big names here, which are a stark indication of just how far football has come.
Here's to the next ten years.
Season 6, 2010-2011
Derby football comes to Melbourne
The introduction of Melbourne Heart was a watershed moment for the A-League.
For the first time, intra-city rivalry was on the agenda, and the fans loved it.
John Aloisi scored the first Melbourne derby goal when Heart beat Victory in Ocotber, but it lost 3-1 in November.
There was one more installment, a rollicking 2-2 draw in which Alosi scored twice. A beast was born.
Season 7, 2011-2012
The Berisha grand final
In season 6, Brisbane Roar's fabled late, late show earned them a penalty shootout against Central Coast Mariners, which they duly won.
In season 7, the drama was far more controversial.
With 94 minutes and 10 seconds on the clock, Besart Berisha feined to shoot. Twice. He swung, he missed, he went down.
And referee Jared Gillett awarded a penalty, one which should never have been given.
Berisha didn't care, and he slotted it home to ensure back-to-back grand final wins for Roar. Perth Glory complained loudly and bitterly, but it didn't change a thing.
Season 8, 2012-2013
Alessandro Del Piero, he's Sydney's number 10
The rumour mill went into overdrive when Juventus legend Del Piero was linked with Sydney FC.
It was a pipedream - which came true in spectacular fashion.
After more than 500 games for the Old Lady, Del Piero touched down in the harbour city, and after two seasons which featured 24 goals in 48 games, he said goodbye, leaving his own stardust sprinkled all over Australian football.
Some of his goals were from another planet, and anybody who watched him play here, in the flesh, will never forget it.
This performance against Wellington Phoenix was something else.
Season 9, 2013-2014
Another Brisbane Roar late show
Western Sydney Wanderers won the A-League premiership in its first season, and backed it up with finishing second in season 8.
It had the chance to make amends for the grand final defeat to Central Coast Mariners, when it came up against Brisbane Roar.
Matthew Spiranovic gave Wanderers the lead, and their faithful dared to dream that it would, after only two years in the competition, add a championship to its premiership.
Roar though, were the experts at winning late, and goals to Berisha in the 86th minute, and Henrique in extra time, saw it take home a third "toilet seat".
Season 10, 2014-2015
Melbourne Heart becomes City, and signs David Villa
Just when you thought Del Piero was the biggest name to grace the A-League, along came David Villa.
He may not have been bigger, but he was right up there.
A European Championship and World Cup winner with the all-conquering Spain side of the late 2010s, and a star at the similarly brilliant Barcelona side of the same era, Villa joined Melbourne City by virtue of a loan from sister club New York City.
He didn't leave a lasting legacy like Del Piero, he only played four games after all, but he did come off the bench to score on his debut against Sydney FC.
It's only a shame the affair was so fleeting.
