Voted on by PFA's A-League members, defender Mathieu Delpierre, midfielder Mark Milligan and forward Fahid Ben Khalfallah made ths atrting line-up, with Besart Berisha and Gui Finkler named among the four substitutes.
Captained by Adelaide United's Eugene Galekovic, who was selected in the team for a record fifth time, the team included one player from runner-up Sydney FC, striker Marc Janko, with substitute Milos Dimitrijevic overlooked for Marcelo Carrusca.
Having become the fourth coach in the history of the A-League to win the Premiership and Championship double, Victory boss Kevin Muscat was selected as the coach of the team of the season with his former captain, Milligan, named in the squad for the third straight year.
"The PFA A-League Team of the Season highlights the incredible talent that calls the competition home and I would like to congratulate all those named on being selected in the players' team," PFA Chief Executive Adam Vivian said.
"The 2014-2015 season reached new heights on the pitch and these players all played an integral part in this."
Galekovic said it was an honour to have been voted as the captain of the team.
"The recognition of your peers is the highest honour you can receive as a player and it's a tremendous privilege to be named in the players' team," said Galekovic.
"The standard on the pitch has never been higher and the quality of those selected in the team of the season highlights this."
