The one-off deal will see Ladbrokes replace long-time major sponsor The Coffee Club on the front of Brisbane's jersey when it takes on the English Premier League club at Suncorp Stadium.

The announcement comes after The Coffee Club - part-owned by former Roar shareholders Emmanuel Drivas and Emmanuel Kokoris - on Wednesday announced they would not be renewing their sponsorship.

The Coffee Club had been commercial partner with Roar for eight years and the deal was reportedly worth $650,000 per year to the club.

Ladbrokes was previous Brisbane sponsor and that the company has chosen to up its involvement with the cash-strapped club is an encouraging development after a tumultuous few days.

Players were this week paid monthly wages - three weeks late.
