Australia, the reigning current Asian champion, will commence its journey to Russia 2018 against Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek, on Wednesday 17 June from 12.30am (AEST) .
SBS’s coverage of the first match will be hosted by David Zdrilic with SBS Chief Football Analyst Craig Foster, Jason Culina and Craig Moore – all of whom have sported the green and gold jersey in their football careers.
SBS Radio will broadcast all of the matches live on digital SBS Radio 3, online at and via the SBS Radio app, with commentary by SBS Radio’s Glenn Osborne and analysis from ex-Socceroos goalkeeper Clint Bolton.
"Australians love watching the Socceroos play. Last year millions of fans tuned in early to see them play in the FIFA World Cup on SBS," Ken Shipp, SBS’s Director of Sport said.
