Troubled Glory grants Hersi early release

Perth Glory's bid to keep its squad intact for the 2015-2016 A-League season is starting to fall apart with the club confirming star winger Youssouf Hersi was allowed an early release from his deal in order to explore other options.

Glory missed out on this season's finals after it was found to be in breach of the salary cap and now Hersi has reached an agreement for the mutual termination of his contract, despite having a year left on the deal.

Hersi is currently in the Netherlands with family, but offered his gratitude to the club.

"I would like to thank the club and the fans who have all been a great support for me this year" he said.

Other players are also reportedly considering their futures with goalkeeper Danny Vukovic attracting interest from Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory, while striker Jamie Maclaren is believed to want an early release from his contract.
