Risdon unleashed a 23-yard thunderbolt to inspire Glory to a 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers last Saturday.
The 22-year-old right back was on the cusp of an Asian Cup call-up earlier this year, and he hopes his strong performances this season will boost his chances of earning a Socceroos debut in the near future.
"Hopefully (Postecoglou) saw that," Risdon said.
"I think that's part of my game that I was missing - the final third, the last ball, and just that cutting edge.
"Hopefully I've got a few more to come.
"I know my main job is to stay and defend, but every chance I get I like to have a venture forward and try to help out when I can.
"Hopefully my chance comes for the Socceroos."
With just four games remaining, Glory sits equal on points with second-placed Melbourne Victory, and just one behind ladder-leader Wellington Phoenix.
Perth has an excellent chance to boost its chances of a top-two berth when it takes on the last-placed Jets in Newcastle on Monday.
Saturday's win against the Wanderers broke a nine-match winless run for Perth, and Risdon said the club was looking to finish off the season strongly.
Midfielder Danny De Silva and striker Jamie Maclaren are a chance to feature against the Jets if they pull up well from their stint with the Olyroos.
Veteran Ruben Zadkovich is a chance to return from a knee injury, while winger Youssouf Hersi (hamstring) is edging closer towards a playing return.
