Berisha, Ryall face bans in fallout from Big Blue

The fallout from Saturday's heated Big Blue has continued with Sydney FC defender Sebastian Ryall to front a disciplinary committee over diving and Melbourne Victory striker Besart Berisha cited under the code of conduct.

Ryall faces a two-match ban if it's determined his tumble in the box during Saturday's heated 3-3 encounter was simulation while Berisha could also be slapped with a suspension after appearing to make obscene gestures to Sydney FC fans as he left the field at Allianz Stadium.

Football Federation Australia's match review panel convened on Monday to asses the incidents, referring Ryall to the disciplinary committee and issuing Berisha with a "please explain".

Ryall fell to the ground in the 71st minute after what appeared minimal, if any, contact from Victory's Gui Finkler.

With Victory up 2-1, referee Strebre Delovski awarded a penalty which would allow Sydney back into the game after Shane Smeltz converted from the spot.

Victory coach Kevin Muscat was left seething after the game declaring: "the penalty wasn't questionable it was just non-existent" and slammed the decision as a terrible advertisement for the A-League.

After having a hand in two of Victory's goals in a standout performance, Berisha is alleged to have made offensive gestures, including grabbing his crotch and flipping the bird in the direction of fans in the western grandstand at the end of the game.

The fiery Albanian striker has been given until 5pm next Monday to respond to the FFA.

He will be free to play this weekend but if found to have breached the code of conduct could face a fine or suspension.

Ryall will face the disciplinary committee later this week.
