The German playmaker is set to play his first game in nearly two months when Roar faces Wellington Phoenix at Suncorp Stadium on Monday night.
Broich admitted Brisbane's first half of the season has been "rubbish" but can sense improvement is imminent, thanks in no small part to the A-League's enforced recess due to the Asian Cup.
"We've made some really good progress in terms of our structure and intensity," he said.
"Everybody's on the same page again. It looks like we're in sync.
"We're playing football on the front foot again instead of dropping back too early.
"We're trying to pretty much go all out on the attack.
"I guess that's the kind of buzz we need to create and the kind of energy we're feeding off."
Broich himself has been arguably the biggest individual beneficiary of the break - it's given him the luxury of four weeks to build up fitness after his recent ankle sugery, and he hasn't had to miss a game.
"We were lucky to get that mini pre-season," said Broich, who turned 34 on Thursday.
"I have a very good feeling about our fitness now.
"We've played a high line, a full-on press pretty much every day at training.
"That forces you to work your socks off every day."
Broich is one of five inclusions for Brisbane along with first-choice goalkeeper Michael Theo, new signings Luke DeVere and Jerome Polenz, and skipper Matt McKay, who is on Socceroos duty.
Roar's leading goalscorer Henrique is out with an ankle injury, along with defender Jade North, who is suspended for Monday night's clash.
