Juric focussed on Socceroos despite overseas interest

Australia striker Tomi Juric has poured cold water on speculation he's played his last game for Western Sydney Wanderers.

The towering forward, who came off the bench in the Socceroos opening AFC Asian Cup match with Kuwait on Friday night, has been linked again with a move to the Chinese Super League.

Fairfax Media reports two clubs have made offers to buy Juric during the January transfer window that would smash the Australian transfer record.

One linked club, Shanghai Shenhua, has held a long-running interest in Juric but the 23 year-old said he was unaware of any future move.

"No, not yet, I don't know anything about signing a deal in China," he said.

Juric, who last week expressed his desire to move to European football and not an Asian club did say he would consider offers to move away his current A-League club.

"Any offer that comes through I'll sit down and have a look and see what happens," he said.

Australia beat Kuwait 4-1 in the Asian Cup opener in Melbourne on Friday night, with goals from Tim Cahill, Massimo Luongo, Mile Jedinak and James Troisi.

Juric said he was proud of the team's performance.

"I hope we showed tonight that we're a country that really knows how to play football," he said.

"We're capable of going very far in this tournament."
