Rubin Kazan and Dinamo Moscow maintained their battle for the UEFA Champions League qualifying place with respective wins in the Russian Premier League.

Kazan is now four points shy of second-placed Anzhi Makhachkala after goals from Bebras Natcho (40) and Vladimir Dyadyun (87) earned a 2-0 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow.

Dinamo Moscow is one place and one point behind Kazan in fifth courtesy of a 1-0 triumph over Rostov, settled by a
Kevin Kuranyi goal in the 27th minute.

Zenit St Petersburg, which visits Terek Grosny on Sunday evening (Monday morning AEDT), occupies third place with 41 points while CSKA Moscow is seven points clear at the top ahead of Monday evening's (Tuesday morning AEDT) trip to Alaniya.

Elsewhere, 10-man Mordovia Saransk moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-0 win at Krylya Sovetov.

Daniel Oprita (28) and Ruslan Mukhametshin (45) put Mordovia out of sight before
Pavel Stepanets saw red 15 minutes from full-time.
