The latest fracas comes just months after the 20-year-old had to have stitches following an incident outside the Normanby Hotel in August.

"He's not in my good books at the moment," Roar coach Frank Farina told the Courier Mail.

"Robbie's got to be the first one to realise that when you're injured you don't go out on the town partying.

"All footballers are doing something they love to do and getting paid to do it, but along with that comes certain responsibilities."

Kruse has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for the past three weeks and will be hard-pressed to win himself a new contract at season's end.

"I won't accept our people not doing the right thing by the team and by the club, and Robbie hasn't done that of late," Farina added.

Kruse burst onto the A-League scene last season along with Michael Zullo but off-field indiscretions and injuries have curtailed his progress.

"The season's getting away from him," Farina said. "We're 10 games in and he hasn't figured.

"He's just not been banging the door down saying 'I should be playing or I should be involved'."
