Monterrey goes second

Tigres Monterey moved into second spot in the fledgling Mexican Apertura table with a 2-1 comeback win over Atlante.

The visitor went ahead with a 50th minute goal from Esteban Peredes but Lucas Lobos (75) and Hugo Ayala (85) ensured Monterey ran out the winner.

Atlas defeated 10-man Pachuca 3-0 to sit third in the table.

Luis Sandoval gave Atlas the lead after 50 minutes before the home side had Jose Torres sent off 17 minutes later.

Atlas made the most of its man advantage to score further goals through Hector Mancilla and a late Paulo Da Silva own goal.

Christian Benitez scored twice for Club America in a 4-2 win over Jaguares, Juan Carlos Medina and Antonio Lopez getting the other goals for the home side.

Luis Rey and Leonardo Bedolla scored for the league's bottom side.

Javier Orozco Penuelas scored a late winner for Cruz Azul who defeated San Luis 2-1.

Mariano Pavone opened the scoring for Cruz Azul after 16 minutes before Michael Orozco (54) equalised only for Orozco Penuelas to grab a late winner.
