Roma wins ill-tempered clash

29 July 2012-AP

Bojan Krkic's goal in the 62nd minute gave Roma a 2-1 victory over El Salvador, completing an unbeaten three-game US tour for the Serie A club.

The match was marred by three altercations, with the most serious coming in the 80th minute when Panagiotis Tachtsidis tangled with a Salvadoran defender, prompting the game's second shower of debris from the stands at Red Bull Arena. Tachtsidis was sent off and became enraged after being hit by what appeared to be a piece of fruit.

Roma's Erik Manuel Lamela was sent off for fighting in the first half.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo put Roma ahead just 26 seconds into the game, and Isidro Gutierrez equalised for El Salvador in the 49th minute.
