Ulsan sees off Kashiwa

31 May 2012-PA Sport

Ulsan Hyundai booked its place in the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League by edging out Kashiwa Reysol 3-2.

Kim Shin-wook put the South Korean side in front in the 56th minute, but Leandro Domingues levelled for Kashiwa in the 69th minute.

Naoya Kondo's own goal three minutes later put Ulsan back in charge and Lee Keun-ho allowed it to breathe easily by making it 3-1 two minutes from time.

The Japanese side would not lie down and Junya Tanaka pulled one back, but it was too little too late.

Guangzhou Evergrande also progressed to the last eight with a 1-0 success over FC Tokyo.

Cleo's 31st-minute goal sent the Chinese side through.
