Striker Serginho van Dijk may have played his last game for Adelaide United, with a move to Indonesia on the cards.

After playing just 16 minutes in Wednesday night's AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg 2-2 draw against Bunyodkor at Hindmarsh Stadium, the 30-year-old was not at Thursday's recovery session.

The Advertiser reported that Van Dijk was instead at Adelaide Airport's departure lounge where he is expected to fly to Indonesia, for whom he is being naturalized so he can play in the national team.

In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon, Adelaide United wrote that "it has approved a request from Sergio van Dijk for compassionate leave until Monday 24 September 2012.

"With the club having one scheduled training session between now and then, it was agreed that this was an ideal time for Sergio to address some personal family matters overseas.

"Van Dijk will be at the squad’s training session on Monday. At this stage the club will be making no further comment on the matter."

Van Dijk linked up with Adelaide in 2010 from Brisbane Roar and after being the team's first-choce frontman he has lost that spot to Bruce Djite in recent months.

Indonesian club Persib Bandung stated publicly that it had enquired about Van Dijk's availability only for Adelaide United to claim a few days ago that no such contact was made and that no offers had been made for the player.
