Brazilian import Guilherme Finkler stole the show in Melbourne Victory's 4-2 win over Adelaide United in a trial match in Launceston.
The star midfielder made one goal and sealed the emphatic victory for the two-time A-League champion with a wonder strike 13 minutes from time.
Victory was two up after 12 minutes when strikers Danny Allsopp and Archie Thomspson took advantage of loose Reds defending.
Thompson made it 3-0 with a header from a Finkler corner before midfielder Dario Vidosic pulled one back for the Reds with a shot from long range.
Victory coach Ange Postecoglou made several changes throughout the second half, with former Adelaide midfielder Marcos Flores the most notable inclusion.
Finkler brought the house down with a superb goal from move which he himself started after 77 minutes before striker Sergio Van Dijk made the score look more respectable for the Reds with a late consolation goal.
A crowd of 3147 watched the match.
