New home and sponsor... Things are coming together for WSW.
Western Sydney Wanderers confirmed it will play all its home games at Parramatta Stadium in its debut season and announced NRMA Insurance as its major sponsor.
WSW Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman confirmed the club's home venue for its 13 home games in the 2012-2013 campaign.
"We have maintained from the very beginning that the future direction of our club will wherever possible be built for and by the people of Western Sydney," Gorman said.
"The strong feedback from the in-depth consultation process we have undertaken through our various fan forums and surveys has told us strongly that Parramatta needed to be our home playing venue.
"We are equally excited about the strategic direction of Venues NSW and its future aspirations for the enhancement and development of Parramatta Stadium."
NRMA Insurance will be the club's Naming Rights and Major Sponsor for the next three years.
“NRMA Insurance has such a distinguished history and proud association with Western Sydney," Gorman said.
"To secure this blue-chip company as our first Naming Rights and Major Sponsor is a huge coup for this club."
Coming off the back of the Wanderers' debut trial game in St Mary's - a 5-0 win over Nepean FC watched by more than 3500 fans - Tony Popovic's side next faces Blacktown Spartans on Wednesday 1 August and then Blacktown City a week later.
