Antonis set for Sydney return

23 February 2012-AAP

Sydney FC teenager Terry Antonis is set to make his return for Saturday's crunch A-League home clash with Wellington Phoenix but veteran Karol Kisel is likely to miss his second consecutive match with injury.

Antonis, 18, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for a month, and coach Vitezslav Lavicka said he would see how the midfielder pulled up from the final two sessions this week before making a call.

"Terry trained earlier this week and we'll see because we have a full session today (Thursday) and tomorrow and we'll make a final decision after that ... he's more of a chance than Karol," Lavicka said.

Kisel, who has a calf strain, returned to full training on Thursday but was rated a 50-50 chance by Lavicka of playing against fourth-placed Phoenix.

Sixth-placed Sydney will be seeking revenge against Wellington which has beaten it twice this season, with both games played in New Zealand.

But Wellington, which has lost its past two matches, will be facing a rejuvenated Sydney team this time around with youngsters Mitchell Mallia and Joel Chianese breathing life into the Sky Blues' attack.

"This is a massive game for us and for them as well ... we have a strong desire in the team to get another three points and get a win in front of our home fans," Lavicka said.
