Hazard plans Belgium show

Hazard has had a hand in seven of Chelsea's eight English Premier League goals so far this season, following his big money move to Stamford Bridge.

That has served to heighten the expectation on his shoulders as part of a Belgium team packed with Premier League talent - but the 21-year-old insists he does not feel the pressure.

Hazard is just determined to help Belgium build on its 2-0 victory over Wales and secure a victory that would be key to its chances of reaching Brazil 2014.

"I know everyone expects a lot from me and I also know that I can do better," Hazard was quoted as saying in Het Nieuwsblad.

"I have played 200 games. I don't feel the pressure.

"Three points against the strongest opponents in this group would obviously be good for the confidence.

"But they are a strong team. The last time we played them we lost (1-0 in March 2010).

"They play a bit like Spain and keep the ball.

"If we want to get six points out of six, we will have to produce a better performance than against Wales."

Belgium manager Marc Wilmots has opted to start with Porto midfielder Steven Defour instead of Tottenham's Mousa Dembele, who lined up against Wales.

Defour will be charged with neutralising the threat of Croatia's Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric, as he did to Wesley Sneijder in last month's friendly against The Netherlands.

While Belgium opened its campaign with a 2-0 win against Wales, Igor Stimac's Croatia defeated Macedonia 1-0 with a goal from Everton's Nikica Jelavic.

Serbia was left in no doubt by its coach Sinisa Mihajlovic that a goalless draw in Scotland was not good enough and Wales ought to be braced for a backlash.

"I expected honestly that we would win against Scotland, but we made a few mistakes. We have some things to change to be better in forthcoming matches," Mihajlovic said.

Wales has not scored in four matches but boss Chris Coleman is confident his side can end their drought in Novi Sad.

"The longer you go and you don't score the more of a psychological thing it can become," Coleman said.

"But we will score goals and I thought we were going to get a goal against Belgium. We have creators and players who can finish.

"So we now have to go to Serbia, put in a performance like we did against Belgium and we need to put the ball in the net, we are aware of that."

Scotland manager Craig Levein insisted their qualification campaign remains on track as they prepare to host Macedonia, after a negative reaction to the draw with Serbia.

"It is nonsense to be talking about qualification or non-qualification just now," he said.

"We still have 27 points to play for. We are very positive about what we are doing just now."
